SVRFGC was started in the year 2005 in order to impart quality education for rural students. The college is one of the premier educational institutions in Anekal Taluk functioning under umbrella of Swamy Vivekananda Rural Education Trust. The college is affiliated to Bengaluru University and Accredited by NAAC. The college offers UG courses in Commerce, Business Administration. To equip students with necessary skills for Employment and Entrepreneurship, add on, Diploma and certificate courses are conducted throughout the year. The college has well planned infrastructure and amenities that provide an ideal atmosphere for an effective teaching and learning.

Dear Student

Swamy Vivekananda Rural First Grade College (SVRFGC) was started in the year 2005 with a B.Com course subsequently BBM Course was added in 2009. Presently, we have about 750 students studying in our college.

The Institution has been working towards its Motto "INSPIRING EXCELLENCE" for the past 14 years.

As we step into this new academic year, filled with hope and dreams of scaling new heights, we wish to reiterate the importance of a few aspects that the students have to keep in mind. The Parents are suggested to guide the children to achieve their goals in an easy and pleasing manner. The purpose of education is to draw out the best in children, leading to rational thinking.

The overall development of the mind and body is a sign of healthy and complete growth, The goals of our students would be realised through highly qualified experienced, and dedicated teaching faculty coupled with excellent infrastructure. The students are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the college and involve themselves in all the extracurricular activities.

Hard work, dedication, and perseverance are the most important traits in a person that lead to success. As the future belongs to you, your needs and hence you are required to prepare yourself for active participation in this competitive world. This participation demands that you become well-informed and develop yourself like a pioneer and ultimately grow as a responsible citizen of this country.

Choosing where to continue your education is a major decision. If you are ambitious and determined to succeed, I strongly believe and suggest that SVRFGC will be your first choice. As a result of our strong foundation and quality of faculty, we shall be able to focus on the needs of every student. So I welcome you all on a wonderful journey of learning.

The library is the perfect space for connection, iteration, interaction, collaboration, and inspiration. SVRFG College Library, therefore, provides a lens through which we can find clarity of focus as we strive to find a way to enhance learning. The library offers a wide range of academic resources such as books, periodicals, newspapers, online periodicals, online question banks/databanks, CDs/DVDs, students’ manuscripts, question banks, bound volumes, etc. It is spacious and can accommodate around 100 students at a time. Our library is fully automated with unlimited internet facility which gives the students free access to various academic resources available online.
